In the 2017-2021 Sun Prairie Parks and Open Space Plan, there is a recommendation to add a second dog park in Sun Prairie. Feedback from surveys from the Parks and Open Space Planning process indicate the primary reasons for interest in a second dog park are due to: (1) The need for more acreage for dogs as the human population and subsequent dog population grows, (2) concerns of proximity of residences to the existing dog park and (3) dissatisfaction with the existing dog park due to the wet/muddy area that makes parts of it unusable.

Below are options that were endorsed by the Parks, Recreation & Forestry Commission as possible solutions to address the issues. The endorsed solutions, along with input from this survey, will be discussed with the City Council on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.

Please take a moment to read the Dog Park Options Explained Document in the "topic details" tab for a full overview of each option and then provide your feedback on each one of the options.
